After I gradutaed from Florida Southern College and decided to end my soccer career, I really started exploring surfing. I always grew up on the beach, and surfed, but just kinda floated around. I felt the absence of a major part of my life and athletics. I met my husband who surfing professionally, then I started to take the sport serious. I was always surfing with the boys, watching the boys, going to contests, and adventaully just started competing. I have been surfing for three years now and have been doing competitions for about two years and am learning the nature of contest surfing.

I live on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii, Kailua-Kona, and plan to spend the year surfing bigger more challenging waves and challenge myself in the water as much as possible. Surfing at any lever, no matter what it turns out to be will always be one of the most important parts of who I am.

Surfing has also produced an ongoing source of spiritual growth and inspiration with my art and with in myself. I find the more I am challenged in the water the more involved I seem so be on canvas. Idealy, I hope to use my love for art and surfing to help me find some sort of career.
